The Mary Ruth Garner Children's Center opened in the fall of 2005. This well-planned facility serves church members and visitors during church, and houses the First Friends Preschool during the week as a community outreach.

Quality Accreditation is a voluntary system for all child care programs
in Arkansas that has been available since 1993.
Quality approved programs have made a commitment to provide
quality care, nurturing attention, and appropriate educational experiences
that are important for the development of each child.
The quality of care that a child receives in the early years
has a life-long effect on intellectual, social, emotional and
physical development.
Only 10% of Arkansas programs are Quality Accredited (Better Beginnings*).
Of the 102 Quality Approved programs in
Rogers and Bentonville there are only 3
Level 3 Better Beginnings private programs
and First Friends is one of the three.
Children who attend quality programs are more eager to learn,
relate better to their teachers and peers, and are better
prepared to adjust to kindergarten.
